Recently-released book takes a look at how environmental and economic changes affect the way the world will soon value, use and access water
MILWAUKEE, Wis. – Richard Meeusen, chairman, president and chief executive officer of Badger Meter (BMI) — a leading innovator and manufacturer of flow control solutions — is featured in a book recently published by the American Water Works Association (AWWA). In “The Future of Water: A Startling Look Ahead,” authors Steve Maxwell and Scott Yates describe how water touches innumerable aspects of modern life and the dire environmental consequences if current water-management practices do not change.
The book highlights the efforts of individuals, investors, water utilities, industries and nations to change the future of water. Meeusen, who has been spearheading efforts to attract new business to Milwaukee with the promise of inexpensive water, explains how water supply has become increasingly important as high-growth industries begin to seek locations that offer inexpensive and abundant water.
